Most healthy vaccinated people who are COVID-19 positive will have mild symptoms that can be easily managed at home. While there is no specific treatment for COVID-19, there are things you can do to help with the symptoms.
-Rest at home and drink plenty of liquids
-Take paracetamol to help with fever, headaches and body aches
-If you have a runny or blocked nose, or a cough - use nasal spray, decongestants, and cough mixture
-Try using a salt water gargle or eating a teaspoon of honey to manage a sore throat. Lozenges and throat spray are also handy.
-If you experience any vomiting or diarrhoea, suck on some ice cubes to make sure you stay hydrated.
-Monitor symptoms so you can stay on top of any changes.
If you have any concerns or if your condition gets worse, call your healthcare team - or in the event of an emergency, always call 111.
